Our school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and supporting our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through Next Generation EU.

This funding was used to purchase 8 iPads used in special education settings, facilitating learners to access apps, including VR and AR, to develop literacy and numeracy.

Further grant aid was used to purchase Chromebooks for use by children with literacy difficulties but did not meet the criteria for assistive technology.

The school also purchased LEGO WeDo kits to allow students to engage in STEM and coding-based activities.
