Supporting Every Child
Staff in LETS aim to support children in all aspects of life and learning. We all find certain areas of life trickier to manage than others.
For our children, where there is an extra level of difficulty, we have teaching staff in school who notice and who collaborate with class teachers to help children with these difficulties.
We also have SNA staff who assist children where there are additional needs.
Prioritising Support Where It’s Needed Most
These needs can be long term and enduring or short. The main thing is that we recognise that all children deserve to be supported to the extent that they need.
Sometimes we run out of resources (staff time) and we cannot do as much as we would like.
This is why we work to the Department of Education sanctioned principle “the greatest level of need receives the greatest amount of support”.
