Maths is Everywhere! 🎉🔢

What a fantastic Maths Week we had in our school! Our theme this year was “Maths Is Everywhere”, and we had great fun discovering just how much maths is all around us — in our school, at home and in our local community.

Throughout the week, the children explored maths in lots of fun and creative ways. We created beautiful maths art, followed maths trails around our school, used our Maths Eyes to spot maths in the world around us, and enjoyed playing maths games with our buddy classes. We discovered that maths is everywhere, from patterns and shapes in nature to measuring ingredients when baking, reading timetables, counting money and spotting numbers and shapes in our local area.

A huge well done to 6th Class for organising and running our Maths Fair! The children did a fantastic job, and everyone had a brilliant time exploring the different activities and challenges on offer.

We would also like to congratulate 4th, 5th and 6th Class on taking part in Ireland Rocks with TTRockStars! The children put in a tremendous effort, and we are delighted to celebrate our school’s achievement of Highest Scoring School in Limerick! 🏆 A special congratulations to Catherine’s Class, who were crowned Top Scoring Class in our school! What a fantastic achievement!

Maths Week was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to see that maths is not just something we learn in the classroom — it is an important part of our everyday lives and the world around us. From problem-solving and teamwork to creativity and friendly competition, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

A huge well done to all our pupils and teachers for making the week such a success. We had great fun learning, exploring and celebrating maths together!

Maths really is everywhere — and what a wonderful week we had discovering it! ➕➗
